Data Collection
Citizens are experts in their own communities. The process of locally-led data collection is a powerful tool for cities to address local issues. This process is used in exploration of issues can lead to collective action.
Data collection is an essential step in building an organization, starting new project, reinvigorating an on-going programme, monitoring and building on your successes and adapting to challenges or failures. We work within communities with local community mobilizers, who have been trained in the latest GPS and mobile data collection techniques.
These community advocates understand the geography, local dynamics and networks and are able to undertake accurate near real-time field level data collection. With the added advantage of local insights and understanding and armed with an in-depth understanding of data collection techniques, we help you build a picture of the challenges and opportunities in the community.
